Job Description
Quanex is looking for Extruder Operators to join our
Production team located in
Kent, Washington .
An Extruder Operator is responsible for working as part of a team, as well as independently to run and maintain assigned extruder machines to produce quality window and door parts, to customer specifications, with minimal waste.
The hours for this position are 7:00 pm to 7:00 am on a rotating schedule that includes working Friday, Saturday and Sunday, every other week. Click to learn more about our manufacturing plant in Kent.

What Success Looks Like: - Assists with set up of equipment and completes changeovers timely
- Produce and use Material Identification labels/computer
- Identify quality product prior to packaging
- Attends work on time and for scheduled hours each day
- Maintains good housekeeping practices, in compliance with 5S Standards
- Promotes teamwork by cooperating and supporting co-workers
- Follows established procedures and guidelines, including standard work and safety policies
What You Bring: - One or more years of experience, manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Shift flexibility, including overtime and weekends
- Ability to read and understand packaging layouts
- Ability to operate hand tools and other equipment as required
Expected Starting Salary: $22.00/hour
